Sung Won Yun




Sung Won Yun is a visual artist, who has been working on representing homogenization of cultural, biological, or geological process in the congeries of time. She received her MFA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in 2010. She completed her BFA and MFA in painting, respectively, in 2000 and 2003 in Korea. Her art practice includes painting, drawing, and photography. She has had eight solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions. Her accomplishments include the residency fellowships for PLAYA (2017) and the Cooper Union School of Art (2015), the prestigious SMFA Traveling Fellowship (2012), Artist Fellowship from Terra Foundation for American Art (2010), and the first place in the Yousuf Karsh Prize in photograph (2010).
