Biography
Based in Brooklyn, from Cali Colombia, Katherine Patiño Miranda approaches the political and aesthetic dimension of human interactions. ”I work mostly designing group practices where what is at stake is the possible ways we could do something together. I am interested in redefining the ways we conduct ourselves towards others in specific contexts”. In this way, Patiño Miranda studio practice and artworks take the form of moments of human interaction in the form of walks, casual conversation, dancing lessons, dinners etc. During these processes, she draws, paints, take pictures, and transcribe texts that relate to these practices in various ways; as relics, mind maps and visual handling methods.
